Well you better do something while you got it kid Don't you fall upon the jagged edge 'Cause time slips up behind you when you least expect And you lose the fire that's burning in your chest Don't you walk around just singing "Time is On My Side" Acting like some kind of messiah Life may be a game but you still got to play So you better play your cards right 'cause Karma pays You may think you're fine now And that you're ten feet tall But when the walls close in around you You'll see its a free for all Don't you take your gaze away from the truth at hand Throw yourself upon the gears Just like Savio and Hampton you can lead the fight And the war machine is burning such a lovely sight You may think we're fine now And that we've done it all But have you seen the children in their cages? Do you hear their weary calls? You may think we're fine now And that we cannot fall But will you speak for the voices that were silenced These Stars and Stripes are false

Well she walks along the sky With the cosmos in her eyes Clouds beneath her feet And I'm out here in the street Looking up but feeling down I don't think you'll understand what I mean You would know if you had felt it She burns me up just like a spark to gasoline And she hardly even knows it Well she walks along the sky With the cosmos in her eyes Clouds beneath her feet And I'm out here in the street Looking up but feeling down Well I see her out on the edge painting the horizon She dances in the new day sun oh I see her shining And I know I just got to say to her just how I really feel But she changes just like the weather hot then cold then disappears Well she walks along the sky With the cosmos in her eyes Clouds beneath her feet And I'm out here in the street Looking up but feeling down Well she dances in the sky Wish and pray that I could fly I'd be like Icarus Burned by my ignorance Looking up as I hit the ground And I'm feeling down And she can't be found Girl can't be bound

Pyramids 03:34
Who knows how to make love stay? It don't play to rules, it don't work that way You can't chain it down like some exotic beast Just take it day by day and give it away for free Don't let it turn into some worn out cliche 'Cause often times it really tends to go that way Romance aint no bandwagon for lost souls With nothing better to ride Love's an outlaw baby can't you see? Oh tell me please Who's side are you on anyway? Who knows how to make love stay? The woodpecker broke the camel's back There's Leigh-Cheri's dreams on a 20 pack When freedom's outlawed only outlaws will be free I saw that painted on a wall education from the streets So listen princess as you build your tomb This aint no fairytale at all, we're just barking at the moon There's just one word in outlaw philosophy Its the simple word of choice wrapped in veils of mystery You know the reason why they built the pyramids? Pedestals for our souls to bravely dance upon the tips Everything's a part of it now, oh can't you see? Who knows how to make love stay? Perpetuating the mystery Won't be deprived of the joys of life There's smiling eyes read between the lines It'll be alright, it'll be okay Our lifes but a drama and the world is but our stage It'll be alright now, it'll be okay The simple facts of life are out here on the final page

I'm going down on the scene I got a one way ticket to mean street 'Cause my daydream is a little dull Sell off peace of mind for a little bit of time with the crazies Play in some concert hall Just because I play some game it don't mean a thing I don't need you Baby I aint no king I don't need a queen And baby that's the truth I just want my kicks I don't need to take shit from the TV You can watch it when you're dead Well I've been fine for a while Because I got my fashion style from a worn out magazine Levi's and cigarettes Electronic complacence its a silly thing For you modern fools I'll stick with my carbureted introspection And baby that's the truth

My heart is on the run Sanity is done I can't bear to face the mirror A stranger's eyes pierce back in cold disdain Am I going insane? Voices inside my brain They're telling me "Run while you still can you can still escape" From your evil ways Let your soul be rearranged Tear out all the walls inside your prison cell Reality is Hell But at least you remember now After all my friend Your heart is on the run Sanity is done Staring at the sun And after all my friend My heart is on the run My ego has been shunned My sanity is done And what is left is naked and ashamed Remember Remember Remember Traveler Cast your lines Into the deep Take good care From the sea When you return Back to shore Remember What you've seen Remember....

about

My debut solo album. I've been wanting to make this record a reality for over 10 years. Some of these songs are over 8 years old. This record has changed greatly since I dreamed of it at 17. I couldn't be happier with the results. It has grown and changed with my musical journey. It has grown just like me.

I am so deeply grateful for the musicians and artists who helped me make this album. Their unique styles and musical input made the album greater than anything I could dream of. It was such an honor to have such brilliant souls come together and make these songs become what they are now. My brethren you are all fantastic artists. Your musical talents inspire me to become a better musician.

I am also so thankful for my family and close friends for supporting me both emotionally and financially. I am forever appreciative of your love and support. Thanks Mom and Dad for buying me a guitar at 6 years old and helping me realize my dreams and my true calling. Thank you for always believing in me. I love you so much.

To my friends, thank you for encouraging me to make this album finally happen after all these years. Thank you for being true friends and loving me for who I am. Thank you for always being the shelter from the storm. I couldn't ask for better folks to call my friends.

Thank you Jason Davis for being a mentor, friend, and colleague. It was you who finally lit the spark to make this record happen. You have taught me so much about how to be a better musician/artist but also generally just a better human being. The knowledge and wisdom I have gained from your guidance is irreplaceable. You have supported me on my journey since I first walked into your studio as a young pup. It was only right to make one last record in that old farm house. The nostalgia and memories run deep within those walls. You were the key factor in making this record a reality. Thank you for your wonderful ears and knowledge. Your input crafted these rough ideas into real music. You made these songs what they are. You are a true friend and I look forward to many more vodka sodas, pool games, and juicy hit records for years to come.
